Times were moving fast then as huge areas of inner city terraced housing was torn down…
creating vast expanses of wasteland that awaited the tower blocks of the 70’s.
It was a grim time for many, but the jolly ice-cream man added a much needed touch of colour and glamour to the grey landscape.
