ONLY A NORTHERN SONG
‘Only a Northern song’ (The Beatles - 1967)
Written by George Harrison for the Sgt Pepper album, but not included in the final cut.
It was all about his dissatisfaction of the music publishing industry and the making of millions of £’s that was taking place
in and round The Beatles.
Whilst George was fretting over these vast sums, many in the North were living a hand to mouth existence
and worrying over where the next pair of leakproof ‘wellies’ were coming from!
